For the poor will never cease from the land; therefore I command you, saying, ‘You shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor and your needy, in your land.’

Deuteronomy 15:11

In every land and in every community there are many opportunities for helpful service. Even in these valleys in which we are now living, there are families that need help along spiritual lines. Look these ones up. Use your talent, your ability, by helping them. First give yourself to the Master; then He will work with you. To every man He gives his work. (Selected Messages Book 1, 103.1)

Keep your eyes open and your ears to the ground.  As you see and hear of needs, please tell us!  If you have certain gifts and talents to help serve, then please make us aware of them.  Then, as the collective body of Christ, we will be Jesus’ hands and feet to faithfully serve God’s people in need.

Sunday, July 1st (7:30-9:30 AM)

An elderly couple, regular visitors of Carmel, need help weeding their flower beds.  We would love if all who are able to join us.

Please arrive on time so we can finish before the temperature reaches an unbearable degree.  Bring drinking water, kneeling pads, a gardening hand trowel, gardening gloves, a shovel, a hoe and a rake.

Contact Lipshed Ndebele or Walter Snyder for the address.
